Corizon Health has exceptional full time openings for Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors (LCPC) at Baltimore Booking and Intake Center in Baltimore , MD . T he qualified candidate must be licensed in the state of maryland. Prior corrections experience is a plus but not required.

A. Provide individual counseling to maintenance clients within Maryland State and

Federal regulations.

B. Maintain therapeutic contact with methadone client caseload during their stay in the

treatment program.

C. Maintain assigned caseload and provide case management for clients.

D. Maintain timely and appropriate client charts. This will include: Initial Intake Assessment, Initial Treatment Plan, Monthly Follow-up, 90-Day Treatment Plan Review and Progress Notes.

E. Maintain close communications with Methadone Counselor Supervisor (LCADC),

Addiction Specialist physician, and other program staff.

F. The substance counselors shall be supervised by a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

G. Adhere to all State, Federal and Program regulations and procedures regarding

methadone treatment.

H. Refer clients on an as-needed basis to other community services.

I. Develop contracts for problematic clients inclusive of detox and maintenance programs.

J. Maintain communication between methadone program and outside agencies when


K. Communicate clearly and cooperatively with staff and clients.

L. Work within program’s quality assurance guidelines.

M. Participate in professional development training throughout the year; participate in safety training.

N. Commit to the provision of culturally competent services.

O. Follow established company policies and those outlined in the program policies and

employee handbook.

P. Other duties as assigned.

Experience & Requirements


• Must have a master’s degree

• Must hold either an LCADC, LGADC, CAC-AD, CSC-AD

• CPR certification

• Correctional experience preferred.
