Corizon continues to be the footprint of successful patient care for over 40 years. We have an exceptional opportunity for a Deputy Medical Director, Special Projects to join our Health Support Team in Brentwood, TN.
As the Deputy Medical Director, Special Projects, you will be responsible for managing the operational project portfolio of field and regional sites for all client contracts and special projects as assigned. You will collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer to develop long lasting client partnerships by delivering effective solutions for our clients needs.
Responsibilities of the Corizon Health Deputy Medical Director, Special Projects
Oversee the education and training of company policies and procedures to all field employees. Promoting and enforcing all policies and procedures with the senior leaders to ensure quality of care.
Work effectively with the Chief Medical Officer implementing initiatives at their directive. Ensuring clear, concise, compelling deliverables which engage others to achieve desired results.
Representing the CMO, evaluate quality of care, operational functioning (administration, offsite management and care, site work flows), and leadership abilities at all sites requested. Also develop relationships with the clients and represents the organization in a positive manner.
Assist and consult with the Chief Medical Officer to lead Special Projects ensuring completion to the goals of the organization.
Identify all best practices within each site and implement in all contracts across the organization.
Leads research and development of special projects as directed by the Chief Medical Officer.
Leads the identification and prioritization of special projects within field organization; oversees or manages project implementation.
Assist CMO in the management of project budgets.
Implement strategic initiatives from inception phase to closure phase.
Maintain active credentials required for employment by Corizon
Participate in committee meetings as deemed necessary by Corizon Health leadership and its clients
Ensure compliance with peer reviews per Corizon Healths policies
Demonstrate flexibility when required to maintain stability and responsiveness to the unpredictable challenges in correctional health care delivery
Have the ability to multitask throughout various components of the clinical and operational tasks
Participation and compliance with all company policies, procedures, and clinical and pharmacy initiatives
Complete annual Human Resources requirements to include Performance Evaluations and Goal setting.
Participate in annual Finance exercises to include annual budget preparation and monthly financial business reviews, including developing and implementing plans for offsite spend.
Track, monitor and prepare reports, presentations and tools to communicate participation in HR/Training programs and courses, and in support of Recruiting activities.
Must be willing to travel 50% to 75% of the time.
Must be willing to give reports on all projects and site visits for all quality and operational improvements.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications of the Corizon Health Deputy Medical Director, Special Projects
M.D. or D.O. Degree required.
Completion of residency in primary care specialty (Family Practice, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Public Health or Occupational Medicine) preferred
Must be board certified; board eligible or qualified by the state laws/regulations to practice medicine.
Must possess or be eligible for a license in the state in which supervisory services are rendered
Must satisfy all credentialing requirements of Corizon Health Utilization Management experience
