As the Operations Analysis Director you are responsible for reporting and managing key operational activities for assigned area of operations. Serve as the central point person for operational activity, within assigned area of operations, for data analysis and interpretation, functional and management reporting and driving key operational improvement activities.

  • Develop critical understanding of drivers/metrics of the business through data analytics. Leverage data analytics to drive insight into trends, concerns and opportunities impacting the business. Use this knowledge to influence both tactical and strategic improvement initiatives.

  • Conduct root cause analysis on variances to budget for labor Kmed, pharmacy and other large contract related expenses. Develop a proactive solution or predictive methodology to minimize future variances to budget. Collaborate with the management team to implement solutions. Conduct post mortem on implementation of solution to ensure predicted outcomes are achieved.

  • Ensure the right high-level metrics are being tracked and identify performance concerns to elevate to Vice President of Operations. Work hand-in-hand with corporate functional groups to ensure effective and efficient levels of support are available to drive metrics.

  • Manage the development of monthly operating reporting packages and board presentations.

  • Assist in the review, testing and implementation of upgrades or new applications for any source systems that interface into the data warehouse.

  • Participate in and contribute to request for proposal process as directed. Collaborate with operators and Finance to ensure contract monitoring is set up, using the correct analytical and data gathering tools, to measure contract performance.

  • Review and analyze budget and financial reports for the assigned areas of operations. Provide insight “behind the numbers”. Suggest alternative approaches/resolutions to planning, budget, and forecasting issues for operational improvement.

  • Own development of metric dashboards and reporting for operational management. Collaborate with operational and corporate management to ensure the information being delivered is the correct snapshot in the correct format to enable effective use of analytics in the field to drive toward corporate objectives. Work toward exception reporting methodology to enable field to react to significant issues.

  • Assist in contract start-us and closeouts as assigned.

  • Performs other special projects as needed within HR, Operations, and Finance departments and duties as assigned.

Experience & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or related field. MBA preferred.

  • At least 10 years of accounting, finance or business healthcare operations experience.

  • At least 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience.

  • SQL, PeopleSoft/Ultimate HRIS system and Time and Labor experience preferred.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
