The SVP, Chief Growth Officer is responsible for teh overall achievement of company growth. The SVP, Chief Growth Officer develops and leads the execution of strategies to drive business growth by proactively developing sales markets including but not limited to State, Local and Federal Government opportunities, resulting in new sales, successful rebids, contract extensions and service expansions.
Manages the proposal development process (requests for proposal or RFP or similar), and development of new business intelligence prior to the release of the RFP.
Establishes the strategy and management of the government relations aspects of all new business opportunities including identification of key government relations activities, recommending lobbying resources, and directing all lobbying activities.
Supports the collaboration between Business Development and Field Operations leadership on the management of existing client relationships.
Designs the overall growth strategy and standards relative to completion, process, and timing.
Ensures the completion of market analyses of possible business opportunities and development of a client evaluation report (CER) and execution of sales plans designed to meet the specific needs of each target account within a predetermined defined period of time.
Assigns and participates in the identification, targeting and active engagement of decision makers in known market opportunities to understand core needs and key client drivers and effectively influence RFP parameters within legal guidelines.
Directs the collaboration and management of lobbying resources for existing contracts by the operations team and business development team.
Experience & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Affairs or related field required. MBA preferred.
10+ years of direct work experience in sales; knowledge and experience of/with correctional healthcare market preferred.
Experience in government relations preferred.
Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate with high level government officials, including governors, legislators, and cabinet level positions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office application(s) and Client Relationship Management (CRM) programs. Experience with Salesforce a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to present oneself with confidence in one on one and group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
