Corizon Health Inventory Coordinator - PRN - Buckeye, AZ in Buckeye, Arizona
We have an exceptional opportunity for an Inventory Coordinator to join our healthcare team at Lewis Correctional Center located in Buckeye, Arizona.
Qualifications of the Corizon Health Inventory Coordinator:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
General knowledge of brand to generic pharmaceutical equivalents
At least 2 years of pharmacy experience, preferably in a purchasing role.
Pharmacy Technician or Medication technicians experience required.
Responsibilities of the Corizon Health Inventory Coordinator:
Contributes to the medication administration process through on-going systematic inventory management.
Assists in assessing compliance, insuring medication is on-hand as required, and providing interface with the pharmacy provider.
Reviews existing data, collects additional data, and recommends obtaining data to evaluate the respiratory status of patients, develop the respiratory care plan, and determine the appropriateness of the prescribed therapy.
Receives orders from pharmacy. Confirms new physician orders are received. Follows up with pharmacy on discrepancies.
Puts away medication cards, stock cards, bulk stock. Reviews medication cards for excess inventory levels.
Updates controlled substances log, as permitted by local regulations, utilizing two nurses too sign off on counts and updates.
Processes new, discontinued, and refill orders to pharmacy. Returns excess medications, expired medications, and discontinued medications to pharmacy
Performs inventory including offender specific medications. Processes transfer and release medications.
Makes provider staff aware of any supply issues on medications (backorder, recalls, etc.)
Issue KOP medication calls. Identify non-compliant patients.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
