Responsibilities

Corizon Health has an opportunity for a Statewide Data Specialist/Reporting Analyst located in the Regional Office, Hanover, MD.

Summary:

The Statewide Data Specialist/Reporting Analyst coordinates and manages creation and distribution of contract required reports and supports medical management by examining data integrity, and providing ad-hoc reports as necessary. This position works directly with DPSCS fiscal auditors and Corizon Finance Dept. and provides all fiscal reports, audits of contract responses, resolves audit issues, calculates and resolves liquidated damages, equipment purchases and inventory control. This position reports to the Statewide Internal Audit Manager.

Experience & Requirements

Job Duties:

  1. During proposal preparation, analyzes assigned customer requests for quote, statement of work and specifications, and compares these with those stated in the contractual data requirements list (CDRL). Specifically reviews the CDRL for adequacy and/or inconsistency. Develops total data costs associated with CDRL requirements, interfacing with other departments as required. Compiles all data-related estimates and their associated back-up material and presents these to the data manager for review.

  2. Upon contract award, serves as the focal point for data-related efforts on assigned programs. Specifically, reviews the contract against the proposal submitted and determines discrepancies. Develops and issues task definition/authorization documentation to all prime and supporting functional organizations, which defines the task, the data effort, the project number, and any deviations, waivers, or other modifications.

  3. Controls and monitors the development of all program data, ensuring that schedule and budget constraints are adhered to. Assists in interdepartmental coordination, data collection, information retrieval, publications production coordination, data distribution, and work/data flow management.

  4. Reviews and audits all data prepared for adequacy, accuracy, and compliance with CDRL and specification requirements prior to submission to the customer.

  5. Serves as the focal point for all data-related questions, supports customer-required in-process reviews, and transmits contractual data items per schedule requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, and Mathematics preferred or experience in relevant environment.

At least two years’ experience in health sciences research or health data analysis. Knowledge of statistics and application of higher level mathematical models in medical claims data.

This positions requires drug testing and background screening.
