Qualifications of the Corizon Health Clinical Account Manager

  • Minimum five (5) years as a RN or similar clinical title
  • Valid license
  • Minimum five (5) years in an operational or clinical role in a correctional setting required
  • Experience as an end user with clinical information system and computerized clinical charting (EHR) required
  • Certified Correctional Healthcare Certification required
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Suite of products (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word)
  • Excellent analytic skills; strong organizational skills; excellent communication skills - both oral and written required
  • Travel 35% as needed

Job Summary of the Corizon Health Clinical Account Manager

This position is a liaison between the correctional sites and Information Technology with EHR implementation and maintenance. The Clinical Account Manager provides pre and post implementation support and maintenance to ensure user and operational success of the EHR system. This position serves as the clinical resource person in the use of our clinical information system and other technology to promote optimal care, reduce errors and achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities of the Corizon Health Clinical Account Manager

  • Maintain expertise in the functionality of the organization's EHR systems
  • Participate in contract/policy/RFP clinical analysis when needed
  • Coordinate and/or participate in assigned pre go-live tasks; including completion of a site clinical assessment and gap analysis
  • Collaborate with internal departments in the configuration, development and refinement of clinical designs, including process flows, order sets, decision support, analytic reporting, documentation templates and online forms.
  • Participate as a member of the on-site IT support team during implementations.
  • Provide ongoing post go-live support through routine calls, facilitating EHR user groups, monitoring of reports and site visits.
  • Assist with EHR training as needed.
  • Participate and provide analysis and feedback on enhancement requests for prioritization meetings.
  • Compile and present trends, reports, and recommendations to address identified and potential clinical problems.
  • Escalate clinical findings with potential clinical risk management concerns to the site. HSA/designee, immediate supervisor, and Clinical and Operational leadership as appropriate.
  • Identify areas of improvement in clinical processes and provide guidance and direction on change initiatives affecting clinical care processes.
  • Identify facilities at risk for obstacles with implementation or during maintenance period.
  • Develop strategies with operational site leadership to manage risk.
  • Perform random record reviews and monitors reports of assigned sites on a daily basis.
  • Provide analysis of utilization reports and communicate outcomes.
  • Initiate problem resolution utilizing appropriate resources when notified of issues by assigned sites.
  • Participate in upgrade events and communications to the field.
  • Provide level support for clinical applications.
  • Participate and conduct training as needed.
  • Serve as a champion for Corizon Health's electronic health solutions.
  • Maintain knowledge of Corizon Health policy and procedures, HIPAA, NCCHC Standards, ACA Standards, nursing department initiatives, and clinical services initiatives as it applies to the EHR.
  • Develop and maintain supportive relationships with peers, sites, all levels of Management within the organization and vendor partners.
  • Mentor and advise Level 1 or 2 Clinical Account Managers or other members of CSI as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
