We have an exceptional opportunity for a Licensed Behavioral Health Professional to join our healthcare team at El Dorado Correctional Facility in El Dorado, KS.

The Licensed Mental Behavioral Professional will have experience in providing social work services at an inpatient mental health facility.

Now offering a $3,000 sign on bonus. Must apply by Julu 31, 2018.

Qualifications of the Corizon Health Licensed Behavioral Health Professional

  • Licensed in state of employment as either a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Professional Counselor (LPC), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Masters Level Psychologist (LMLP)
  • Master's Degree in a Behavioral Health Field
  • Counseling experience in a Correctional setting preferred, but not required
  • Must pass and maintain security clearance.
  • Possess good interpersonal communication skills. Able to effectively interact with institutional staff, medical staff, and outside agencies.


Responsibilities of the Corizon Health Licensed Behavioral Health Professional

    • Assesses offenders for behavioral health needs through intake, sick call, follow up, and restrictive housing contacts.
    • Provides behavioral health services for assessed needs or creates a referral for provision of such services.
    • Accurately assesses behavioral health crises. Intervenes in crises to ensure offender safety, reduce risk, and improve functioning.
    • Provides Special Needs services to stabilize mental illness and improve functioning of assigned offenders.
    • Utilizes evidence-based treatments to assist with management of mental illness and reduction of criminogenic risk factors.
    • Conducts group therapy utilizing evidence-based treatments informed by pre- and post-test data.
    • Collaborates with offenders to develop and maintain treatment plans for on-going behavioral health services.
    • Consults with clinical supervisor to ensure appropriate and effective delivery of therapeutic services. Adjusts treatment plans and service delivery as indicated.
    • Performs on call duties as assigned.
    • Completes timely, accurate, and professional documentation of all services provided.
    • Participates in staff meetings and attends training sessions as required.
    • Ensures that offender confidentiality and other legal rights are protected.
    • Consults with and educates staff from other departments as needed for the safe, appropriate, and humane management of offenders with mental illness.
    • Performs all duties in line with ethical, professional, correctional, and legal standards.
