Corizon Health has an exceptional opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Travel RN Program at the Florence Correctional Complex located in Florence, AZ!

Details of the Corizon Health Travel RN Program

  • Rate of pay for the RNs - $40/hr., lodging
  • Nurses must be licensed in Arizona or compact state and have successful credentialing and security clearances.
  • Travel assignment nurses in the program will work up to 40 hours/week. 30+ hours will be benefit eligible. Shifts must be 3, 12 hour shifts in a row for lodging purposes.
  • Meals are not reimbursed
  • Lodging provided for nurses traveling no less than 55 miles one way, it is the responsibility of the Site Management to assist with lodging arrangements for nurses in this program. Lodging will be provided for 2 nights between 3 shifts. Corizon will not be responsible for any additional lodging/housing needed by nurse.
  • This program may be discontinued at any time depending on the future recruiting needs of the site, available funding, or other pertinence considerations. In this instance, staff already working in the program will be given 60 days' notice.

Qualifications of the Corizon Health Travel Registered Nurse

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Arizona or a compact state license is required. Licensed must be active and in good standing.
  • Possesses an active CPR certification.
  • Remains knowledgeable about specific state laws and regulations governing practice.
  • Satisfactory completion of initial and annual clinical competencies to demonstrate aptitude as assigned by role.

Responsibilities of the Corizon Health Travel Registered Nurse

  • Deliver quality care that is consistent within the scope of practice as outlined by the local state nurse practice act for Registered Nurses.
  • In accordance with local practice acts and regulations, delegate and ensure supervision of nursing activities and functions to other competent nursing personnel appropriate to their scope of practice.
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for the quality of care delivered; works to ensure a safe environment for themselves, the patient and other staff members.
  • Acts as a patient advocate that promotes the quality of health care delivered in the facility and serve as a leader at all times to promote best practices within the profession of nursing.
