We have an exceptional opportunity for a Behavioral Health Professional to join our healthcare team as a worker supervisor at El Dorado Correctional Facility in El Dorado, KS.

Qualifications of the Corizon Health Behavioral Health Professional

  • Master's level licensure in a behavioral health related field of Psychology (Clinical License Required)
  • Master's Level licensure through the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board
  • 3 years of experience in a mental health or psychiatric setting required
  • Possess good interpersonal communication skills. Able to effectively interact with institutional staff, medical staff, and outside agencies
  • Previous management experience preferred

Responsibilities of the Corizon Health Behavioral Health Professional

  • Assist in planning and implementation of goals and objectives of the Reception and Diagnostic Unit (RDU) to ensure contract compliance and client satisfaction.
  • Provide BHP supervision for all Behavioral Health Professionals providing services to RDU inmates.
  • Provide the necessary preparation of documentation, administrative records, rosters, and reports.
  • Participate in CQI process to include planning and direction of a program to analyze and evaluate cases for standards control.
  • ŸCosign and editing of psychological evaluations by due date, includes diagnostic feedback and oversight of sex offender evalution.
  • Ensure all RDU clinicians:
  • Have accurate and timely RDU reports completed and documented.
  • Provide appropriate and effective crisis intervention to ensure patient safety. * Consult with psychiatric, behavioral health and/or medical staff to coordinate patient care.
  • Ÿ Complete other job duties as assigned.
  • * Attend professional, staff, and in-service training meetings as required.
