We have an exceptional full-time opportunity for a Clerk to join our healthcare team at the Moberly Correctional Center located in Moberly, MO.

Qualifications of the Corizon Health Clerk

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • At least one year experience in a healthcare environment
  • Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements

Responsibilities of the Corizon Health Clerk

  • Assists nursing staff at healthcare unit in clerical functions, including scheduling chronic clinic appointments, tracking test results and consultation reports, and scheduling offsite appointments.
  • Collects utilization data for monthly QI reports and assists in maintaining medical records as needed.
  • Logs requests for offsite and diagnostic studies
  • Maintains chronic care logs and ensures appointments are scheduled according to protocol
  • Updates medical diets lists as needed.
  • Assists nursing and other staff in issuing and tracking minor medical equipment
  • Collects data from ER logs, segregation logs, etc. for monthly QI reporting
  • Coordinates scheduling of onsite specialty appointments
  • Answers telephones, takes messages, and makes telephone calls as needed.
  • Types correspondence, reports, or memorandums as needed
  • Maintains roster or appointment book based on scheduled appointments, both offsite and onsite, as needed.
  • Orders, receives and maintains office supplies.
  • Other duties as requested by Supervisor or Administrator.
