We have an exceptional opportunity for a Clinical Coordinator (LPN) to join our healthcare team at Florence Correctional Center located in Florence, AZ.

Qualifications of the Corizon Health Clinical Coordinator (LPN)

  • Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
  • Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of employment.
  • Possesses an active CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Previous appointment scheduling experience preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.

Responsibilities of the Corizon Health Clinical Coordinator (LPN)

  • Reports directly to and meets with the site management and prepares reports as requested.
  • Assists in developing, revising, interpreting and ensuring compliance with the policies, procedures, aims and philosophy of Corizon Health.
  • Assists in nursing staff coverage and provides backup nursing support within scope of license.
  • Assists with work schedules for nursing staff. Reviews with the site administrator the use of overtime. Orients new nursing personnel.
  • Functions as a member of the CQI Committee Infection Control Committee.
  • Provides training regarding TB prevention, infection control and emergency response for institutional employees.
  • Reviews status of patients with serious health problems, ensuring all necessary intervention and treatment is completed.
  • Reports patients with special or extraordinary medical problems to the site administrator.
  • Audits patient health records to ensure all provided services are documented.
  • Monitors and/or provides in-service programs. Monitors and evaluates physical safety requirements of both patients and staff to ensure a safe environment.
  • Accepts on call status, and appropriately refers issues to the site administrator as needed.
  • Works closely with the supervisory staff in outside hospitals/agencies to ensure a close working relationship between them, the security staff and Corizon. Maintains a good working relationship with institutional and nursing staff, contracted providers, outside agencies and site management
  • Provides other services and performs other duties as assigned.
