We have an exceptional opportunity for a Manager of Compensation to join our healthcare team at our Corporate Office in Brentwood, TN.

Qualifications of the Corizon Health Compensation Manager

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field and generally 6-8 years of HR experience required. An advanced degree (MBA) is preferred. Professional certifications (SPHR, CCP, etc.) preferred
  • Expert Microsoft Office suite experience; Excel-extensive experience with pivot tables, v-lookups and experience creating, manipulating, formulas/data sets
  • Knowledge of leading practices and external trends in compensation, Total Rewards and HR technology systems
  • Demonstrated track record and expertise in building, leading and managing a successful Compensation function, designing and developing compensation strategies and plans
  • Knowledge of the legal environment of compensation at National, State and Local levels. Experience in compliance with regulations
  • Previous experience leading, managing and building teams in a fast paced dynamic environment. High energy and drive to create an environment of continuous improvement, high performance and engagement
  • Strong presence and consultative capabilities, with the ability to influence senior level leaders and other key stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. Strong project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with HR colleagues and the business partners are essential
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, including strong listening, negotiation, persuasion and facilitation skills with all levels of leadership and employees
  • Strong customer centric philosophy
  • Strong business skills and ability to critically think - analyze, synthesize and evaluate information to help the business grow and succeed
  • Occasional travel up to 10% to: correctional facilities, regional offices, client and/or vendor sites

Responsibilities of the Corizon Health Compensation Manager

  • Lead the administration of the company's compensation programs including base pay, annual corporate merit, etc. Partner with Finance on the administration of variable plans including the Manager Incentive Plan, Sales Incentive Plan, etc.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new or redesigned compensation programs including a leadership role in the year-end compensation planning process to ensure effective and efficient program delivery and communication.
  • Manage the Compensation team in support of the business development function, including Request for Proposal research and analysis, and contract award start up activities.
  • Manage the evaluation, analysis and documentation of salary data. Lead the participation of salary surveys, & the creation and maintenance of salary structures and comprehensive job description libraries.
  • Lead the design and competitive benchmarking for incentive plans to ensure that the plans are effective, competitive and aligned to business requirements.
  • Create and manage administrative processes and policies to maintain and ensure compliance with applicable local, state and Federal laws and regulations by monitoring and responding to new and emerging legislation that impacts compensation programs; interact with internal and external legal counsel; present proposed programs, prepare and maintain required documents; and educate cross-functional teams and departments regarding issues and implications to ensure compliance; partner with, guide and educate HR Business Partners on compensation related topics and issues.
  • Assist HR leadership in developing strategies by analyzing and understanding pending and proposed legislation related to compensation; advise of the impact of legislation on company and employees.
  • Research best practices through surveys and other sources of industry information. Oversee the effective use of market data to recommend competitive, innovative and cost effective compensation plans and programs.
  • Responsible for the development of various communications, such as plan documents, plan changes and employee notices.
  • Participate on cross-functional teams on technology projects.
  • Assist in the review of existing technology used for compensation administration and make recommendations for enhancements or enhanced efficiencies.
  • Performs other duties as required.
