Corizon Health has an exceptional opportunity for a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to join us at our corporate office in Brentwood, TN.

Qualifications of the Corizon Health Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

  • BS or BA in related field; Masters or CPA preferred.
  • A minimum of eight (8+) years' experience in workforce analysis, labor management or financial analysis and planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify organizational strategies and solutions to business challenges.
  • Expert analytical skills.
  • Proven ability and desire to deliver insightful analysis and make sound financial recommendations at the corporate level.
  • Uses a high degree of analytical ability to solve complex and varied problems
  • Ability to prioritize several important tasks while providing financial leadership
  • Advance skillset in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc. (strong knowledge of building and maintaining databases and mass data manipulation)

Responsibilities of the Corizon Health Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Key member of the Coordinated FP&A function which makes strategic operational decisions for the company.
  • Design and execution of fully functional reports and dashboards to measure goals, drive action, and aid in operational decision making.
  • Collaborates with corporate and site leadership to deliver timely business solutions
  • Communicate, interact and perform analysis in support of the operations management
  • Preparation of variance analysis of actual results compared to budget and forecasts
  • Reviews financial statements and communicates regularly with general ledger staff
  • Assists in maintaining the financial integrity of financial reporting and operations
  • Performs research and compilation of various financial and operational data
  • Assists with Data mining from various systems to support interdepartmental analyses
  • Identifies and assists in the development of high value analysis on business drivers, company trends, and risk/opportunities
  • Clearly presents complicated financial matters to executive team
  • Assists in preparing monthly and quarterly forecasts and drive strategic financial decisions for maintaining progress toward targets
  • Assists in leading the annual budget and projection cycles including setting calendars and milestones, tracking progress and deadlines, and ensuring the companywide budgets meet strategic targets at all levels.

    • Labor Management - Lead the design, communication, and training of a comprehensive labor management program.

  • Develop and implement proactive solutions to minimize the cost impact of labor variances and maximize labor staffing budgeted dollars.
  • Partner with the Business Intelligence Department in the creation, generation, and distribution of ad-hoc and standard labor reporting.
  • Provide meaningful and actionable analysis of labor variances and make recommendations for correction.
  • Leverage the members of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to communicate and implement companywide labor initiatives.
  • Provide guidanceas the Labor Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the review, testing, and implementation of all applicable Corizon systems and processes.
  • Responsible for recommendations for the development or enhancement of new and existing reports, visuals, etc. in labor management systems to assist in the execution and measurement of current and future labor management objectives.

  • Develop timely and actionable reporting, training, and oversight for site and regional leadership.
  • Provide meaningful analysis and reporting for senior leadership and present progress towards identified targets.

    • MOR Preparation

  • Work in conjunction with the CFO in preparing documents for Monthly Operating Reviews with the field. Documents to include staffing, financial, quality, and HR related. Also, serve as a participant on calls and follow up on any outstanding issues.

    • Other

  • Assist in completion of special projects on an as needed basis both within the Finance department/Human Resources and cross functionally with operations and other healthcare support team areas.
  • Provide reporting and presentations for board meetings, SELT, and other venues as requested.
  • Partner with finance department during the annual budgeting process in the creation and review of compensation budgets to include FTEs, fill rate, average rate, special pay, overtime %, and other staffing related metrics.
  • Develop proven Corizon standards for staffing patterns and ratios and participate in staffing plan development during rebid and new business opportunities.
