Qualifications of the Corizon Health Director HRBP

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field. Masters preferred
  • 10+ years of Employee Relations experience, 5+ years' management and leadership responsibility, 5+ years organizational development design and evaluation experience

Job Summary of the Corizon Health Director HRBP

Direct and implement talent management initiatives that are critical to Correctional Medical Services' mission, vision, culture, values, growth and strategic priorities. Align the Human Resources process with business needs and implement consistent corporate policy and procedures across departments. Provide proactive Human Resources advice to the Leadership team to minimize and prevent company liability and increase profitability. Administer and assist in the development of the Human Resource programs covering employment, orientation, training, ADA/EEO/AAP/DOL compliance, employee relations, record retention and HIPAA in accordance with established corporate policies and procedures.

Responsibilities of the Corizon Health Director HRBP

  • Review and analyze source documents and contracts to determine the best methods for configuring the QNXT system, pricing subsystem and databases.
  • Ensure broad range HR Employee Relations support to field and corporate departments including but not limited to retention, orientation, employee coaching/counseling/performance management and development.
  • Direct and manage the Human Resource programs including but not limited to labor relations, retention, termination, turnover, employee record retention and severance issues.
  • Implement enterprise organizational development interventions and programs that improve organizational effectiveness and performance by focusing on assessment, change management, culture and values, diversity, professional development, organizational design/redesign, process improvement and team building.
  • Develop an organization-wide strategy, prioritizing organizational efforts and resources toward development and education activities of succession candidates, to develop "ready-now" candidates for all key positions. Develop high potential and successor candidates to meet future talent requirements.
  • Partner with leaders to assist in identifying, documenting and communicating results of employee performance. Review and assist in the development of actions plans and coaching to be provided to the employee.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of systems and processes that ensure the effective and efficient onboarding of new leaders.
  • Direct, develop, recommend and implement approved programs and policies to ensure enhancement and acceptance of diversity and proper EEO/AAP/ADA/DOL compliance.
  • Analyze exit interview data and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain working relationship with Union officials and adhere to terms of labor contract by monitoring day-to-day implementation of policies concerning wages, hours and working conditions.
  • Assist in the representation of management in investigating, answering and settling grievances by arranging and scheduling grievance hearings between union personnel, supervisor and management team.
  • Coach the Employee Relations team to initiate and present the right questions to gain insight into the business issues and needed resolutions.
  • Provide direction and coaching on specific tasks as well as individual professional goals and development.
  • Manage the process and validate the quality of deliverables produced by the team.
  • Direct and assist in the management of HR Employee Relations team including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
  • Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the HR Employee Relations area.
  • Monitor and stay abreast of employee relations trends and practices through the analysis of external HR metrics and internal Key Performance Indicators.
  • Assist with escalated governmental and regulatory labor-related issues.
  • Assist in completion of special projects on an as needed basis within the HR Department.
