Corizon Health has an opening for a Senior SQL Developer to join our team at our corporate office in Brentwood, TN.

Qualifications of the Corizon Health Senior SQL Developer opening:

  • Define, develop, test (unit, integration and regression), analyze and maintain SSIS packages, stored procedures and SSRS reports in support of the achievement of business requirements. Act as lead developer and SQL subject matter expert.
  • Research, identify, analyze and fulfill technical requirements of all internal and external program users.
  • Prepare flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate sequence of steps program must follow and to describe logical operations involved.
  • Consistently write, translate, and code SSIS packages and applications according to specifications.
  • Write SQL scripts to enhance functionality and/or performance of SSIS packages and applications.
  • Design, run and monitor query performance tests on new and existing SQL queries for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
  • Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas.
  • Generate statistics and audits on various load processes
  • Recreates steps taken by user to locate source of problem and rewrite queries to correct errors.
  • Collaborate with network administrators and system analysts for efficient implementation of systems enhancements and for resolution of any adaptation and maintenance issues.
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform query improvements as needed.
  • Assist Application QA in the automation of testing scripts, database queries and utilities.
  • Assist with identifying programming tasks and estimating programming effort/hours for project completion.

Job Description

Define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain stored procedures, SSIS Packages and SSRS reports in support of the achievement of business requirements. Translate functional business requirements into technical specifications and designs. Create and maintain process flow documentation according to change control standards.

Responsibilities of the Corizon Health Senior SQL Developer

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent years of experience.
  • 6+ year's in depth experience SQL programming. Healthcare experience a plus.
  • Technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementation. General understanding of entire development process including specification, documentation and quality assurance. SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SQL, Microsoft SharePoint a plus, TFS.
  • Excellent analytical skills; strong organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written and presentation communication skills. Effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Up to 15% travel to: correctional facilities, regional offices, client +/or vendor sites. Subject to on call or after hours work to resolve application problems or meet implementation deadlines.
