We have an exceptional opportunity for a Manager of IT Business Intelligence to join our Healthcare Support Team in our corporate office in Brentwood, TN.

Qualifications of the Corizon Health Manager of IT Business Intelligence

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience. Experience in healthcare for the delivery of clinical quality analytics is required.
  • 3+ Years of proven successful management of teams or complex projects. Prior supervisory experience or management experience of complex projects preferred in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of comprehensive software solutions
  • Occasional travel up to correctional facilities or regional offices.
  • 6+ years of Business Analyst experience
  • 3+ years of project management experience on medium/enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Must be able to multitask on a variety of projects and have an excellent understanding of business risk and analysis methodology
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Visio, and reporting/query tools along with knowledge of the tools and technologies including OLAP/OLTP, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS on SQL server, Tabular and OLAP Cube experience, RDBMS design, dimensional modeling, DBA with SQL server, ETL, BI tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities to find effective solution to business problems, as well as possess excellent communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of system and software utilized by business intelligence team along with best practices and methodologies
  • Proven organizational and prioritization skills; ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a deadline driven environment
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Outstanding written and verbal skills
  • Follow established standards to ensure data integrity and security, appropriate change control, time tracking, documentation standards, etc.

Job Summary

The Manager of IT Business Intelligence (BI) is responsible for delivering actionable information in reports and dashboards for our clinicians and our operators to improve the quality and efficiency of clinical care. This role will lead a small BI team providing information required to understand, manage, and improve our clinical and operational services.

He/she will evaluate business requirements for development as well as share key information with other managers. The role will evaluate operational flows, define process models, observe business processes, suggest changes to improve and drive efficiency and manage all changes thru a change control process. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Customer Solutions and Integrations.

Responsibilities of the Corizon Health Manager of IT Business Intelligence

  • Manage and provide direction for the BI team in support of business and clinical operations.
  • Manage the requirements analysis and documentation for developing and delivering reports and dashboards to the various stakeholders through a change control process.
  • Establish and maintain best practices to ensure accurate and on-time reporting.
  • Perform ongoing management of large and complex programs and initiatives for the BI team.
  • Understands the organization's vision and how new business fits in the current business lines and the integration of business and technology.
  • Must maintain and demonstrate a strong customer focus.
  • Facilitate collaboration across teams to achieve a common goal.
  • Ensure projects and tasks meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve system issues.
  • Establish standards (process, workflow, tools) and ensure functional specifications, business requirements, and technical requirements consistently adhere to the standards for all development.
  • Collaborate with external vendor's, designers, system owners and production operations in the testing of new software programs and applications.
  • Liaise with other IT departments to ensure quality solutions are delivered.
  • Serve as the business analyst or project manager in feasibility studies for software and system products under consideration for purchase, and give advice based on findings.
  • Ensure that BI team is involved with any new software integration into company systems and that needed data is made available for reporting purposes.
  • Manage BI team staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
  • Assist in the development of RFP's, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports and other documentation for application projects and associated efforts.
  • Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the Business Intelligence area.
  • Assist in completion of special projects and other duties as assigned.
