Corizon Health has an exceptional opportunity for a Network Engineer to join our Healthcare Support Team in our corporate office in Brentwood, TN.

Qualifications of the Corizon Health Network Engineer

  • 5+ years of Networking/VoIP Engineering Experience is required.
  • Knowledge of technical telecommunications systems, video conferencing, computer LAN systems, network protocols (TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP, etc) and bridging, PCs, servers, routers, Cisco Unified Communications applications (Communications Manager, Meeting Place, Unity) and telecommunications test equipment.
  • Office environment with occasional travel up to 5% to: correctional facilities, regional offices, client and/or vendor sites. Provides on-call (night/weekend) assistance in support of the company's 24 x 7 operations.

Responsibilities of the Corizon Health Network Engineer

  • Ensures the stability and integrity of in-house voice, video, and wired/wireless network services.
  • Plan, design, and develop local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization.
  • Participate with installation, monitoring, maintenance, support and optimization of all VoIP hardware, software, and Cisco Unified Communications.
  • Analyze and resolve moderately complex VoIP hardware and software problems.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to team members.
  • Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wired/wireless networks, including routers, switches, UPSs, and other hardware.
  • Configure VoIP infrastructure to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
  • Monitor performance and troubleshoot moderately complex problem areas as needed.
  • Collaborate with executive management and department leaders to assess near- and long-term capacity needs.
  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to VoIP configuration, call route mapping, processes, and service records.
  • Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation VoIP hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Ensure voice connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, fax servers, and other network appliances.
  • Manage servers, including database, voice-Mail, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software.
  • Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for administration, usage, and disaster recovery.
  • Conduct research on VoIP and network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the industry.
  • Practice asset management, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
  • Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
  • Perform server and security audits, and system backups and recovery.
  • Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure products and services.
