We have an exceptional opportunity for a Proposal Contract Specialist to join our Healthcare Support Team in Brentwood, TN.

Qualifications of the Corizon Health Proposal Contract Specialist

  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Business, Marketing or Healthcare preferred. Equivalent years' experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' experience in developing comprehensive proposals in response to government issued Request for Proposals (RFP) or grant writing for federal, corporate or non-profit organizations.
  • Strong MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel) proficiency.
  • Strong verbal and written and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to peers, executives, and field leadership.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent project and time management skills

Responsibilities of the Corizon Health Proposal Contract Specialist

Research and respond to telephone calls, written inquiries and appeals coming in to the Provider phone lines. Serve as first point of contact for hospitals, physicians, other healthcare providers, and regional and site personnel on all claims related issues. Resolve all interactions in compliance with company standards and guidelines.

  • Coordinates the proposal development process with Business Development from the pre-RFP release, through the bid/no bid decision process to the final proposal submission and post-award review.
  • Collaborates with Business Development, Clinical, Operations, Behavioral Health, and other key Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify strategic win themes and proposal deliverables.
  • Writes and edits proposal's technical response ensuring each proposal document is developed in strict accordance with RFP specifications and deadlines and incorporates Corizon Health's best practices and standards.
  • Meets proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval; coordinates requirements with SME and other contributors.
  • Develops and maintains SharePoint team sites for bids.
  • Develops and maintains proposal content for ongoing use.
  • Determines the use of graphics and data proof points in the body of the proposal.
  • Proofreads completed proposals with strict attention to detail.
  • Assists in reviewing and analyzing competitive responses as to content, quality, clarity and overall appearance.
  • Develops keen market acumen to ensure ability to develop competitive responses.
  • Assists in completion of special projects on an as-needed basis.
