We have an exceptional opportunity for a Psychology Associate to join our healthcare team at Yuma facility, San Luis, AZ.

The Licensed Mental Health Professional will have experience in providing social work services at an inpatient mental health facility.

Qualifications of the Corizon Health Psychology Associate

  • Master's Degree in psychology, social work or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Licensed or license eligible preferred
  • Professional experience, knowledge and skills in-group and individual therapy, diagnosis and treatment of major illness, crisis intervention and psychological evaluation techniques and substance abuse treatment
  • Demonstrate the potential ability to provide mental health services in a correctional environment

Responsibilities of the Corizon Health Psychology Associate

  • Provides direct clinical services; Services may include intake screenings, psychological evaluations, unit rounds, crisis intervention, group and individual counseling, psycho educational and substance abuse treatment program groups, evaluation of inmate in segregation, developing individual treatment plans, and development of appropriate aftercare and discharge plans.
  • Collaborates with the Multidisciplinary Mental Health Treatment Team in order to determine a patient's appropriate level of mental health care to include discharge planning.
  • Documentation of all mental health interventions in accordance with the policies and procedures of mental health services.
  • Participates in tracking and collecting statistical information for programming
  • Participates in collecting documentation of services for audits and participates in the Continuous Quality Improvement process (CQI)
  • Participates in case presentations and treatment planning for patients being considered and receiving services for mental health and substance abuse treatment
  • Responsible to interrelate and work effectively with other mental health service staff, institutional staff, Corizon's administrative and medical personnel, inmates and outside support agencies
  • Participates in clinical supervision, treatment team meetings and staff meetings.
  • Participates in in-service training programs as required by Corizon, to include maintaining CPR certification
  • Additional duties as assigned
