We have an exceptional opportunity for a Regional Grievance Coordinator to join our healthcare team at our Arizona Regional Office located in Tempe, Arizona.

Qualifications of the Corizon Health Regional Grievance Coordinator

  • Licensed as Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in state of employment. BS in Nursing is preferred.
  • Previous client advocacy or conflict resolution experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is required.
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel).

Responsibilities of the Corizon Health Regional Grievance Coordinator

  • Responsible to provide contract-wide ombudsman services to protect the health, safety, welfare and rights of patients.
  • Reviews, investigates, and evaluates care plans in response to Patient Advocacy inquiries and formal grievance process.
  • Provides advice and assistance relating to the preparation and filing of complaints, grievances and appeals.
  • Provide timely responses to complaints and inquiries, investigate and evaluate care plans and ensure timely response and documentation through resolution.
  • Support development of Director's project as assigned.
  • Meet with facility administrators to identify, investigate, and resolve facility/program issues
  • Liaise with organizations in the correctional community and, as appropriate, government agencies and policy makers.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the correctional environment and contracts, quality care practices, as well as state and federal laws and regulations related to providing healthcare in a correctional environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
