We have an exceptional opportunity for an Accounts Payable Lead to join our team at our Brentwood Office located in Brentwood, Tennessee.

Qualifications of the Corizon Health Accounts Payable Lead

    • At least two (2) years of administrative experience or the equivalent of education and experience.
  • Must possess a good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Peoplesoft Financials
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience
  • 4+ years of experience in accounts payable processing, 1-year supervisor experience

Responsibilities of the Corizon Health Accounts Payable Lead

  • Supervise and coordinate the work efforts of the Accounts Payable Team. Keep management informed of schedules, priorities and issues. Establish metrics for the Accounts Payable Team and guide the team to achieve the metrics. Ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors and employees while maintaining adequate supporting documentation according to GAAP and IRS guidelines.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work efforts of the Accounts Payable team.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors and employees while maintaining adequate supporting documentation according to GAAP and IRS guidelines.
  • Oversee submission check runs in PeopleSoft A/P including coordinating with MIS/Financial Reporting to protect check stock and maintain proper segregation of functions within the A/P department.
  • Analyze performance of the Accounts Payable area. Identify problem areas and devise and deliver solutions to enhance the quality of service and to prevent future issues.
  • Work in conjunction with other disbursement functions (Claims, Payroll, etc.) to ensure proper items are being processed within A/P.
  • Ensure proper and timely customer service support (internal and external).
  • Develop and recommend procedural improvements to ensure efficient processes exist.
  • Train, coach and mentor Accounts Payable team.
  • Assist in completion of special projects on as needed basis.
