We have an exceptional opportunity for an SVP Psychologist to join our healthcare team. Location could either be in Farmington or Jefferson City, MO.

The SVP Psychologist performs psychological evaluations as a screening component in the determination of whether offenders meet the statutory criteria as a sexually violent predator. This Psychologist administers, scores and interpret basic psychological tests, as well as, sex offense specific instruments. The Psychologist provides crisis intervention counseling. The Psychologist prepares reports, and updates as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Will conduct psychosexual and psychological evaluations as required under the Sexually Violent Predator Statute.
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary Mental Health Treatment Team to determine appropriate individualized treatment and discharge plans.
  • Participate in the Quality Improvement processes, including data collection and tracking.
  • Administers, scores, and interprets psychological tests.
  • Prepares evaluation reports and patient profiles.
  • Provide Court testimony.
  • Participates in clinical supervision, treatment team meetings, staff meetings, in-service training programs, and outside training programs as required by Corizon Health or licensure.
  • Documents all patient contracts in the electronic medical record.
  • Consults with treatment staff, the Department of Corrections, and the Attorney General's Office.

This individual reports directly to the Clinical Director of the Missouri Sex Offender Program (MoSOP).

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in psychology, counseling psychology or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensed or licensed eligible as a Psychologist in the state of Missouri.
  • Professional experience, knowledge and skills in group and individual therapy, diagnosis and treatment of major mental illness, crisis intervention and psychological evaluation techniques.
  • Able to meet the unique demand of providing mental health services in a correctional environment.
