We have an exceptional opportunity for Full Time Nurse Practitioner* to join our healthcare team at the Southern Boise Women's Correctional Center located in Kuna, ID. * NP with OB/GYN experience is highly desired.

You will contribute and glean highly varied expertise in a challenging, very rewarding and vital profession; while providing an atmosphere of empathy and respect for the dignity of the person. The impact you provide is incredibly valuable to society and often significantly assists in reducing recidivism rates.

1.Graduate of an accredited college/university nurse practitioner program with current certification /licensure in the state of employment.

2.Maintains an active CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification.


3.Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies throughout the facility

4.Identify patient health problems and prescribes treatment under direction of a physician

5.Implement medical care utilizing therapeutic regimens approved by a physician

6.Provide education to patient, healthcare and correctional staff

7.Document all healthcare contacts

8.Adhere to safety and security policies and participate in disaster drills

9.Follow security regulations for keys, sharps, and controlled medications

10.Delegate to and supervise other team members as appropriate

11.Adhere to Universal Precautions and other appropriate infection control practices

12.Performs all duties as assigned
