Responsibilities
Below is a list of your responsibilities as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Corizon Health:
Provide direct clinical services to the inmates of the Substance Abuse Treatment program as a "Primary Counselor."
As the "Primary Counselor," you will be responsible for completing initial assessments, group and individual counseling and discharge summaries in a timely manner.
Conduct psycho-educational modules for all program participants.
Evaluate inmates referred for substance abuse treatment services to determine the appropriate level of treatment and if applicable the necessary agency to provide required services.
Document inmate evaluation or program participation in accordance with program procedures.
Rotating on-call weekend coverage.

Experience & Requirements
State certification as a substance abuse counselor.
Experience providing services within a correctional setting is preferred.
Dual licenses as a CADC or LCADC and LPC, PLPC, LCSW, or LSW.
A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role.
